Edwin H. Watts Sr. was born 6/2/1922 in Elk Grove, to Edwin Clarice Watts. He passed away 5/1/2016, just short of his 94th birthday. His family roots were based in the California Gold Rush. He grew up in Lincoln, CA, served in the Navy Air Corp. during WWII; as the rank of 1st class petty officer. His vacation was Production Supervisor, 16 years at Gladding McBean, 17 years at Kaiser Steel, and 3 years at California Steel. His avocations were Line Dance, Square Dance, Methodist Church, and Corona Kiwanis. With the Kiwanis, he was instrumental in the first nongovernmental inoculation of the whole town against polio in the 50s; supported by volunteers donations (his son had polio at 2 yrs old). He supported encouraged, the love of his life Arloene by participating in both her businesses; the Corona Employment Agency her community service. He is survived by 1 sister Joyce Peacock of MI, 3 children LaJune (Jesse) Hughes of OK, Edwin (Deborah) Watts Jr. of MA Michelle Watts of Corona, former daughter in law, Kathleen McInnis of KS, 2 grandchildren Victoria Bowen of KS Jeffrey (Michele) Watts of KS 1 1/2 great grandchildren Jeffrey and his future sister Watts of KS. Services will be at Thomas Miller Mortuary 5/12 Viewing at 9am and funeral at 10:30 am. Repast will be held at the Womens Improvement Club immediately following. Burial will be on 5/13 at Riverside National Cemetery.
