Eileen Rose Goforth

Eileen was born Jan. 26, 1919 in Corona, CA to Harry LeGros and Nellie Smith, the youngest of 8 siblings. She passed away peacefully int o the arms of Our Lord on Aug. 27, 2015 at Estancia Del Sol Renaissance Care Center at the age of 96. Eileen moved with her mother to Los Angeles, CA at the age of 16 after the passing of her father. Her first job was at Pacific Clay where she was to meet her husband, Leroy F. Goforth. They married Nov. 24, 1941 while Leroy was serving in the army. They eventually settled in Whittier, CA where they raised their 3 children. They later resided in Hacienda Heights, CA and Fallbrook, CA and also had a vacation residence in Bullhead City, AZ. Their last home was back in Corona, CA. Leroy passed away Nov. 12, 2009. They had been married for 68 awesome years. Eileen is survived by daughters Diana Thomas (Jerry, deceased), Sharon Duarte (Robert) and son Gary (Shirley), grandchildren Shellie Hicks and Patrick Thomas, Ryan Duarte and Robyn Wright (Adam), Cheryl Hepinger and Brian Goforth (Michelle). She had 10 great-grandchildren, Christian, Brady Max Hicks, Hailey and Connor Thomas, Katelyn and Kylee Hepinger, Evan and Emma Wright and Madison Goforth. Thank you Mom, for being the wonderful, fun and caring Mother, grandmother and great grandmother you were. You were always there for we will miss you so much everyday. Till were together again, Mom. The family would also like to express our thanks and appreciation to the staff at Estancia Del Sol and Arbor Vitae Hospice Care for their compassion and excellent care of our mother during her final months.
