Eleanor M. Amaon

Eleanor M. Amaon Born January 27, 1922 in Denver, CO to Palmer and Elsie McGuffie, passed away on November 21, 2013 in San Diego, CA. Eleanor moved to Corona, CA with her parents in 1926, where she lived for over 75 years. She married Ivy L. Amaon in 1944. Ivy passed away in 1992. She is survived by two daughters, Shirley Myer (Michael) of Scottsdale, AZ and Patti Slamon (Steve) of San Diego, CA, three Grandchildren, Marcus Myer, Alison Slamon and Brian Slamon (Aline) and one Great Grand Son, Noah Slamon. Eleanor relocated to San Diego in 2000 to be near her daughter. She was a member of the Corona Congregational Church, PEO Chapter SI, DAR and Eastern Star. She enjoyed gardening, needlework and traveling. Her biggest pleasure came from her family, especially the grandchildren. There will be a viewing at Thomas Miller Mortuary in Corona on Monday, November 25, 2013 from 2 to 4 in the afternoon. Graveside services at Crestlawn Cemetery at 1:30 PM on Tuesday November 26, 2013.
