Eleanor Mae Peirson

Eleanor Mae (Vernon) Peirson - Wonderful Mother, Mother in Law, Grandma and friend. Passed away at age 86 at Valencia Terrace, Corona, CA on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 surrounded by family. Born October 2, 1928 in Los Angeles, CA she lived in Southern CA her entire life. She was a graduate of BIOLA College, married Ernest R. Peirson (DOD 2/2/1994) and worked many years for Dr. Donald Morris before becoming Director of Social Services then Director of Hospice at Corona Community Hospital. In her retirement she served as secretary and personal assistant for her brother, Robert L. Vernon founder of Pointman Leadership Institute where she made contacts and dear friends worldwide. Eleanor enjoyed knitting, handwork, china painting, and cooking. She loved her pets and being with family (not in that order). Over the years Eleanor and Ernie opened their home to so many, becoming genuine examples of the Lords love and care. Eleanor served on the Alumni board of Biola University, was a longtime member of Northpoint Evangelical Free Church in Corona and The Knit Wits. She was a devoted sister to Robert L. Vernon and sister in law Esther of Fallbrook, and dear Aunt to Pam, Bob and their families . Survivors include Nathan R. Peirson of San Diego, wife Evelyn and children, Taran Gray and Brenna. Levi Peirson of Whittier, wife Lori and children Amber and Nathaniel with wife Maura. Timothy W. Peirson of Tacoma WA, wife Cheryl and children Kyle, Conner and Anna. Rene Koviak of Las Vegas and children Annie and Tim and daughter Tamanda. A memorial service will be held at Northpoint Evangelical Free Church, 988 W. Ontario Ave. Corona, CA 92882 Sunday December 7th at 4:00 pm. Internment will be held in private. Memorial contributions may be made to Pointman Leadership Institute at pliglobal.com an organization near and dear to Eleanor. The family wishes to thank all of those who provided exceptional comfort and personal care to Eleanor during her last few years as well as all who enriched her life with their love and friendship. They also desire to give thanks to the Lord Jesus for His faithfulness, grace and love as demonstrated throughout Eleanors life. Memorial Northpoint Church 988 W.
