Ellen Catherine Cahill

Ellen Catherine Carney Cahill, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on December 3, 2024, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born and raised in Waltham, Massachusetts, Ellen relocated to Corona, California, in 1961, where she built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.

 She lived a long, beautiful life defined by her warmth, wisdom, and humor that touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. As the heart of her family, she was always there with a warm hug, a kind word, and often some excellent unsolicited advice which included proper use of the English language. Her laughter could light up any room, and her strength and grace inspired all who knew her. She taught her family the value of compassion, resilience, and the importance of cherishing every moment.

Ellen's love and the countless memories she created with her family will remain in their hearts forever. Her stories, advice, and comforting presence—often accompanied by a cup of tea and a heartfelt chat—will be dearly missed. She instilled in her family a sense of kindness, respect, and empathy, and she demonstrated through her actions that everyone deserves to be treated with dignity.

 She leaves behind her devoted husband of 63 years, Tom, her loving daughter Mary Ann (Keith), her two sons, Tommy (Lisa), Sean (Michele) and her informally adopted daughter Rae Marie (Janet). Ellen was also a proud grandmother to Hope (Christian), Emily, Hailey and Noah and a great-grandmother to her precious great-grandson, Nicholas. Her family was the unifying force of her life, and her absence leaves a void that can never be filled.

 Ellen’s extraordinary kindness, brilliant smile, and contagious laughter will live on in the hearts of those she touched. Her unconditional love and unwavering support were the foundation of her family, and her legacy of love will continue to inspire generations to come.

 Rest in peace, Ellen. Your love, laughter, and the light you brought into the world will be carried in the hearts of all who loved you.

 A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 13, 2025 at 11am at Thomas Miller Mortuary in Corona, California.
