Emilio Mares age 63, 1954-2017. passed away peacefully, surrounded by family and friends, in his Adelanto home which he shared with his wife Debbie of 18 years. He was born in Mexicali MX, first son of Jose and Margarita Mares of Guanajauto MX. He was a NAVY Vietnam veteran proudly serving aboard the USS Whiteplains AFS4 1972-1975. He was also a Deputy Sheriff in Riverside where he resided for most of his life, he also spent 12 years as an OTR truck driver More than being a proud veteran he loved his family dearly and was loved by many. He was a wonderful husband an awesome son, father, uncle, nephew, cousin, grandpa and friend. He loved fishing, camping, traveling and making people laugh. He leaves behind his 4 children Emilio Mares Jr, Christina Pesquiera ( from Dee Robles 1st wife) Osiel Mares (from Roselia Garcia) and Charlott McDonald (from Karen Macdonald. He also leaves behind 3 step-children Michele Borunda, Raymond Borunda, Maria Papp. Emilio and Debbie had no children together but, loved the 15 grandchildren they shared together. Emilio is survived by his wife Debbie Mares, his father Jose Mares. 5 sisters Alicia Rodriguez, Armida Sandoval, Rosa Jaquez, Anita Mares, Maria Mares and 1 brother Carlos Mares. Many, many nephews and nieces who were all his favorites.
