Emmett Eugene Cook

Emmett Eugene Cook Jr, was born on July 5th, 1943, in Denver, Colorado to the late Emmett Eugene Cook and Mother Daisy Selena Cassius. He departed this life on Thursday, May 19th, 2022, in the comfort of his home in Corona, California. Emmett E. Cook, met Curlie M. Cook at a tender age of 12. He graduated from High School in 1962. On June 14, 1964, he united into holy matrimony and became the husband of Curlie M Brown. Through this union they were blessed with three children: Sherry L. Cook, Connie M. Cook and (Sonny) Emmett E. Cook II. Emmett graduated high school in 1959, and in July 1961, he joined the United States Marine Corps until he was honorably discharged in 1965. Emmett then went on to begin a successful career at General Motors as a department manager until he retired in 2003. In his retirement years, Emmett helped babysit his grandchildren, enjoyed cooking, and traveled with his wife Curlie. Emmett was a loving grandfather, he loved to share stories of his younger days to his grandkids. The family would like to thank his friends and neighbors for all their help, support, and friendship. The family will be honoring Emmett's wishes, there will be no viewing. A private burial will be held on June 8th, 2022. Emmett was preceded in death by his daughter Connie. M Cook on October 15h, 2008. He is survived by his (Daughter) Sherry Ortega and (Son-in law) Phillip Ortega, (Son), Emmett E. Cook Jr. (Daughter in- law) Anne Maria Cook. (Son-in-law) Michael McNeil (God Daughter) Vicky Chhour and (husband) Ken Chhour, (Grandchildren) Velvet (Crystal) Cook , Paulden Cook , Gabriel Cook , Noah Cook Rodarte ,Phillip (Ilan) Ortega Aysia K. Ortega , Kayla Cook , Daya McNeil, Hayden Cook, Shannon Fu, Abegail Fu and Zoe Fu. Great grandchildren, brothers, and sisters.
