Ernestine Ann Moore

Ernestine A. Moore Ernestine Moore passed away peacefully, on July 28, 2016 in Rancho Mirage, CA. She was born February 13, 1928, to loving parents, the Rev. Harry Colas and Sarah F. Walburn Colas. Sarah Walburn Colas passed away in 1932, so Ernestine has waited a lifetime to be reunited with her mother since she was just four when she passed away. Ernestine resided in Turner, Kansas where she graduated from Turner High School and later married Jack Moore, who preceded her in death on June 19,2014. They raised their four children in Turner until Jack was transferred to Southern California in 1968 by his employer, Philadelphia Quartz Company (PQ Chemical). Ernestine worked for Fairbanks Morse Co. in Kansas City, Kansas and Beckman Industries in LaHabra, Ca. She is survived by her sister, Joyce Henderson of St Louis, Mo., as well as three nieces and two nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Robert Colas. She is survived by her four children, Jerry Moore (Wife, Vande and son Vaughn), Susan Moore Rivera, (Anthony), Annie Moore and Butch Moore. And one grand daughter, Courtney Lima (husband Jamie Lima), and three great grandchildren, Madison 12, Jack 9, and Kate 4, of Ladera Ranch, Ca. Ernestine was an incredible mother, grandmother and great grand mother. She was devoted to raising her four children and caring for her family. She was a lover of dogs and will once again see her beloved boxers and her bulldog, Maggie in Heaven! Ernestine will be buried with her husband, Jack Moore, at the Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside, CA., on August 4, 2016.
