The angels of heaven descended to earth on November 25, 2018, to deliver Erwin Douglas Piper to his Heavenly Father. He was the first born to Ruby and Ervion Piper Sr. He arrived on this earth on July 18, 1956 at 6:03 pm. To everyone's surprise 7 minutes later his twin, Edwin was born. He was a mischievous child. Mainly because he always had his side kick Edwin beside him. He began his education at 111th Street School. He attended Markham Junior High and graduated from Jordan High school in 1975. He enlisted in the U.S. Army where he spent 13 years serving his country. After leaving the army with a medical discharge he was employed by Los Angeles Unified School District as a Buildings and Grounds Worker. He left this job to complete his employment years with Trade Tech College where he retired from in July 2018 Erwin and C'ora were sweethearts for many years before marriage in 2006.This union produced three children. Two sons and one daughter. Anthony, Justin and Teresa. He was a loving and devoted husband, son, father and grandfather. His grandchildren meant everything to him. Erwin leaves to mourn his passing and cherish his memory, wife Cora Piper, 3 children, Anthony, Justin and Teresa. One daughter in law, Brittany. Three grandchildren, Taje, Taleyah, and Leilani. A loving mother Ruby Wise (Sylvester) Four sisters, Leatha Piper, Deirdre Piper, Sandra Piper Jackson, and Thelma Stevenson (Kevin) Four brothers, Edwin (Danny) Piper, Cedric Piper, Derrick Piper, and Jeffery Piper, Step mom Lottie Piper, and Sister Friend Dora Hardie Also to cherish his memories and morn his passing are a host of nieces, nephew and friends that are too numerous to name. Erwin is making a joyful noise with the Lord as he is joined at his home coming by his father Ervion Piper Sr. His Brothers Ervion (Sputnik) Piper Jr. and Errol Lamont Piper. His maternal grandparents, Wesley and Thelma Dupree, and his paternal grandparents Mary and Steve Piper and gran-daughter, Anaiyah. REST IN PEACE DOUGLAS.
