Faye Jean Williams was born January 26,1953 in Dallas, Texas. She was one of eleven children born to Allie Mae Golden Wilson and Leroy Wilson. In 1961 her father passed away and Allie Mae Golden Wilson moved the family to San Fernando, California. Faye accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Dallas. Upon moving to California her family joined Calvary Baptist Church of Pacoima, Rev. Dr. Hillery T. Broadus, pastor/founder. Faye loved to sing and she was often a featured soloist. One of her most requested solos was "I Most Tell Jesus." Upon graduating from Sylmar High School, Faye attended LA Valley College. Here she met Theodore C. (Ted) Williams in 1973. Ted first saw this tall, sassy, outgoing charismatic lady and he immediately knew he had to meet her. Faye said that upon her meeting Ted that he stood out because of how much of a gentleman he was. He offered her a ride home in his slick black 1973 Pontiac Grand Prix. That ride lasted for 43 years! They were inseparable, spending much of their time going to movies, dancing and concerts. Often times you would find Ted accompanying Faye to her singing gigs with her brother's band called AW Express. They had local success evidenced by their sold-out concert at Carpenter's Hall. The two soon settled down and married on October 7,1977 and started a family. They had four children, Twyla, Cory and twins Cristien and Crystal. Faye eventually finished school and earned her Bachelor's degree from Cal State Los Angeles. She worked for Amtrak for thirty years, something that she took much pride in. In 2000 the family moved to Riverside, CA. In 2001, Ted and Faye adopted four gorgeous children whom she loved abundantly. Faye always wanted a big family, and she got one with the addition of Heaven, Selena, Seven and Larissa. She was able to relive all the fun she had raising the first four kids. Then when she thought her heart couldn't get any fuller with love, along came her 10 grandbabies, with whom Faye was smitten. They affectionately referred to her as their "Honey". The nickname was given to her by her grandson Eric because she called him Honey so much that when asked what his grandmothers names was he said it was "Honey." Faye was a joyous, caring, giving. Her family loves and misses her dearly. She will truly be missed by all those who were fortunate enough to meet her. Faye leaves to cherish her memory her husband, eight children and ten grandchildren. She also leaves to celebrate her life with six siblings: Clyde Everett, Marjean Brown Barrett, Bobby Everett Sr., Abdul Rahman, Ivy Fontenot and Sharla Wilson along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins' other relatives and many close friends.
