Fernand Joseph Sauvageau

May 6, 1935 — December 3, 2020

Fernand was born May 6th 1935 in Fargo ND, to Gustave and Germaine Sauvageau. He died peacefully December 3rd 2020. He was preceded in death by his wife Ann; a marriage of over 43 years. Together in Anaheim they raised three daughters: Debbie McClellan, Valerie Sauvageau, Sherry Lynn Baggett, and three sons: Terry, Craig and Jeffrey. Their children gave them a total of fifteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Fernand came from a family of ten siblings:Brothers Leon, Harvey, Lawrence, Gary and sisters Theresa Bullock, Dora Matchie, Rose Svienson, Laura Goguen and Lois Caldwell. Fernand spent five years in the United States Air Force stationed at Bergstrom Air Force Base, Austin TX. After his service he went to work for the Shur-Lok Corporation in Irvine CA, as Corporate Secretary and Accounting Manager for over 40 years, where he retired at the age of 65. He and Ann loved to travel; they visited all 50 States and numerous countries abroad. They moved from Anaheim Hills in 2006 to Trilogy in Temescal Valley (south of Corona). He spent a great deal of his time maintaining over 125 rose bushes at their local parish-St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church; something he really enjoyed doing. We would like to thank all his wonderful friends (to include Walt & Jackie Costello, and especially Jim Brya) who helped him through his struggles with his vision decline and his recent illness.
