FLOYD LYLE IVERSON 04/13/1926 - 02/12/2015 Floyd L. Iverson was born April 13, 1926 in Great Falls Montana. He passed away on February 12, 2015 at the age of 88 in Riverside, Ca. Floyd was fourth oldest child of Martin and Maude Iverson. Floyd was drafted into the US Army and spent a year serving at Fort Sam Houston, Texas as a Medic. He graduated from Walla College in Washington in 1954 and spent two years teaching and then moved to Riverside, CA where he became a general contractor. He spent a large portion of his life working on Seventh Day Adventist denominational buildings. Floyd was an avid birder and enjoyed camping and hiking. He had a passion for working with young people and was the Director of the La Sierra Pathfinder Club for 16 years. Floyd was survived by his wife Marilyn: Two daughters; Jeri Barnhill and her husband Kevin of Martin County, CA, Sherri Travillion and her husband Alan of Riverside, CA, and one step daughter Gaydene Emmrich and her husband Steve of Yorba Linda, CA; five grandchildren: Tracy Travillion, Nicole Jasso, Matthew Emmrich, Karri Eakin, and Alyssa Emmrich, and five great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers: James Iverson of Great Falls Montana and Kenneth Iverson of Portland Oregon as well as many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at La Sierra University Seventh Day Adventist Church on February 28, 2015 at 4:00PM. Floyd will be interred at Riverside National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the La Sierra University Church Pathfinder Club.
