Frances Martha Hoffman

Hoffman, Frances Martha March 2, 1919 to March 19, 2014 Frances passed peacefully in the presence of family at the age of 95. She was born to Ferdinand and Augusta Neis in Meyer/Stacyville, Iowa, where she lived with eight brothers and sisters on the family farm. She married Frank Hoffman and moved to California in 1938, where she and Frank raised four children: Claudyne, Diana, John and Stan in South Gate, CA. Frances was a clerk for Beachs Bakery in Downey while Frank worked in aerospace for Northrop-Grumman. Fran and Frank were avid Dodger fans attending as many games as possible, and listening to all those they could not attend! Frances spent her later years in Orange, CA. Adored by her children and grandchildren, Frances will be missed by all. Her favorite pastime was quilting and everyone in the family was given a quilt to be treasured. Beautiful sweaters, knitted by her hands, were received with enthusiasm as well. Frances was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Frank, in 1990, along with her son John Hoffman in 2010, and her son-in-law Dennis Logren in 2009. She is survived by daughters Claudyne Lofgren, Diana (Darrell) Conard, daughter-in-law Marcia Hoffman, and son Stan (Toni) Hoffman, along with 14 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. A celebration of Frans life will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday April 5 at Richfield Community Church in Yorba Linda, 5320 Richfield Rd. Yorba Linda, CA.
