In loving memory of Gabriel Roman Magabilin, loving husband, father and grandfather. Gabriel passed away January 3, 2024, at the age of 58, at UCI Douglas Hospital in Orange, CA due to cardiac failure. He is survived by his wife Theresa, his daughters Vanessa, Diane & Marissa, and his grandchildren Eliana, Emilia and Ellis. He loved his family dearly.
Gabriel was born February 16, 1965, in Torrance CA and grew up in the city of Compton, CA. His mother Esperanza Torres raised him along with his older brothers, Armando & Bulmaro Servin, and younger sister Christina Magabilin. There he attended Dominguez High and graduated in 1983. It was there that he met his wife to be, Theresa Watson. They were married August 30, 1986, and over the next few years their family grew. Gabriel was always there for his family and wanted to provide for them as best as he could. He worked at Pep Boys for several years, but always knew he was meant to be in a job where he could dress nice and not get his hands dirty...he said that wasn't for him! :) He eventually joined the crew at Wetherill Associates Inc. There he worked his way up from a Customer Service Representative to CSR Supervisor, and eventually an Accounts Manager--always in a shirt and tie and sometimes a suit. His career there lasted 18 years, but due to his health issues, he had to take an early retirement. He was a hard worker who loved his job, and he missed it greatly.
Gabriel always had a positive outlook on life. Always joking and making people laugh. He was definitely a talker--he would talk to anyone that gave him the opportunity. Gabriel loved his grandchildren so much. The highlight of his days were when his daughter Diane would come by with the grandbabies and spend the day with him. Eliana helping him give the dogs treats and Ellis on his lap, while Emilia pushed his wheelchair.
Gabriel's love extended beyond his family, as he openly shared his knowledge and thoughts with those around him, leaving a mark on those that were fortunate enough to know him. He will definitely be missed by the many people in his life, but most of all by his family. We will always carry your memory in our hearts.
