Gerald Ralph Robison passed away peacefully on Nov. 8th 2024 in Corona California by his children’s side at his home.
Gerald was born in Medina, New York to Ralph and Alberta Robison. He was the 2nd of 4 children.
After high school, Gerald served honorably in the United States Air Force as Airman First Class from 1961-1965. While in the Air Force he toured all around the world.
Following serving in the Air Force, Gerald married Carol Robison on Dec. 23rd 1967. They worked together at Kodak for a few years. Together they had 3 children, Pamela, Kimberly and James.
He earned his bachelor’s degree in Science of Electrical Engineering at the Rochester Institute of Technology. Gerald accompanied by his wife Carol and daughter Pamela moved to California in 1974 as a temporary move for work, which ended up being permanent. His career at Eastman Kodak spanned over 25 years where he retired as a District Service Manager for Customer Equipment Services.
Gerald was a prominent tennis player who had won many tournaments in High School and College. He was featured multiple times in the local Medina New York newspaper. He was ranked 3rd in western New York.
Gerald enjoyed sports, politics, reading, camping and a good western movie. He loved to travel. Driving across country to visit family in New York, Alaska cruises and the yearly trip with family to the Palm Canyon Resort were some of his favorite vacation destinations. Thanksgiving was his favorite holiday and he especially loved having the whole family together. Gerald loved to spend time with his family and his 6 grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his wife Carol Robison, parents Ralph and Alberta Robison, brother Ron Robison, and his sister Donna (Robison) Benz.
Survived by daughter Pamela Stivers, son-in-law Matthew Stivers, grandchildren Ashley, Tyler, and Hailey Stivers. Survived by son James Robison. Survived by daughter Kimberly Monnette, son-in-law Jon Monnette and grandchildren Kayla, Kyra, Jacob Monnette and his brother Doug Robison.
Relatives and friends may join in a Celebration of Life Ceremony on Monday, December 2nd, 2024 at 11:00 am – 12:30 pm at Thomas Miller Mortuary, 118 E 6th St, Corona, CA 92879. Air Force Tribute and service to follow at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Boulevard, Riverside, CA 92518 at 1:30 pm.
