GILBERT E. WILSON December 5, 1943 - February 17, 2023 It is with great sorrow to announce the passing of Gilbert Eugene Wilson. He passed away on Friday, February 17th, after a brief, but difficult battle of Guillain-Barr syndrome (GBS). Gib was born and raised in Corona, California. He graduated from Corona High School, Class of 61. He enjoyed racing motorcycles, skeet shooting with various sports clubs, taking his 23 T-Bucket to car shows, attending speed boat races, and going to the drag races with his friends. He was passionate about cooking and loved talking recipes. He was known for his fierce loyalty, witty personality, and kindness. Gib also owned A & R Supply in Riverside in the late 70's and early 80's. He helped his father, Bud, with his business, Fare's Industrial Tool Supply. Gib also worked for various trucking companies for many years before retiring. Gib was a lifetime member of the Corona Elks Lodge #2045. He was an Exalted Ruler in 1985-1986. He remained very active as an Elk member. He could always be found at any event, greeted new members like he knew them a lifetime, and was one of their master chefs on monthly steak nights, as recently as this past January. Gib is preceded in death by his parents, Jean and Gilbert (Bud). He is survived by his wife Charlene, his daughters, Christine and Karen, his stepsons, Mark and Brian, his grandchildren, Eddie, Aliyah, Dylan, and Mack, his brother Kenny, and his cousin Tom. The memorial service will be held at: Thomas Miller Mortuary 1118 E. 6th Street, Corona, CA 92879 Saturday, March 18th at 10am Reception to follow at the Corona Elk's Lodge, 912 E. 6th Street, Corona CA 92879 In lieu of flowers, our family kindly requests you make donation to the Corona Elks Lodge #2045, Major Project Fund.
