GLENN FORREST GOVEDNIK (1941-2015) went to be with The Lord at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center surrounded by his family on July 9, 2015, after a lung transplant gave him 8 more precious years. Glenn was born in Ironwood, Michigan on June 30, 1941. He was one of five children born to Mark Joseph Govednik and Tyyne Miriam Govednik (Salo). He is survived by his loving wife, Arlene and daughter Maria Tranberg (Les), nine grandchildren including Jacob Tranberg, Brianne Anderson (Jerry), Timothy Tranberg (Nicole Monje), Grayson Aarvig, Courtney Aarvig, Kira Aarvig, Brett Garcia, Austin Carter, and Jessika Carter, one great granddaughter, Lillien Terese Anderson, and many extended family members who knew him lovingly as Grandpa Glenn. Other surviving family who will miss him greatly include his sister Joyce Wahlquist and brother Donald Govednik. Glenn is predeceased by his daughter Lisa Carter and brothers Peter and Mark Govednik. Glenn lived in Corona since 1993 and has been a devoted member of his church. The legacy of Glenns life lies in the warmth of the relationships he had with everyone who knew him. Memories may be posted on Glenns Facebook page. Services will be held at Living Truth Christian Fellowship at 1114 West Ontario Avenue in Corona on Saturday August 1, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with a celebration of life to follow.
