Glenna Sue Sullivan

May 1, 1940 — November 15, 2023

Glenna Sue Sullivan, 83, went to her heavenly home with Jesus in the early morning hours of November 15, 2023; her family by her side at her home in Burlington, Washington. Born in the Smokey Mountains of North Carolina on May 1, 1940 to Jake and Birdell Frizzell, she had 7 brothers and 1 sister.

She later moved to Sedro-Woolley, Washington where she met the love her life, Joe M. Sullivan, a sailor from California. They were married in 1958, settling in Southern California for many decades. Her brothers were very protective of her an warned this California sailor if he mistreated her he would answer to them. Married for 64 years, did she ever need to call in her brothers in all those years? She never told! Life was never dull married to a bigger than life guy.

She is survived by her sister, Jolline Brawley of Burlington, Wa.; 3 Brothers: Carl Frizzell of Burlington, Wa., Roy T. Frizzell of Burlington, Wa., and Ray Frizzell of Sierra Vista, Az.; 4 children: Rory Sullivan of Concrete, Wa., Shelly Sullivan of Norco, Ca., Randy Sullivan of Norco, Ca., and Joseph B. Sullivan of Hesperia Ca., 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. The love of God and love of family that she received from her Mom and Dad was a solid foundation for her life.

She loved to travel, play card games, laugh with friends and cook for her family. She was involved with Cross Style Global Ministries for over forty years, developing life-long friendships. Sue was often found with her Bible, notepad and pen, listening to a sermon, taking notes, and always willing and ready to share what she was studying.

She devoted her life to serving God and her family, launching her into a life as a homemaker, business manager and strong evangelical witness. Her laugh was infectious and her eyes sparkled when she hosted family around the table. She prayed fervently for her family, never wavering from God’s promises of redemption; offering unconditional love, grace and forgiveness as only possible if sourced by the Holy Spirit.
