Obituary Glennis Miguel (Mike) Ellis was born on September 28, 1969 to proud parents, Arthur Ellis Jr. and Desiree Ellis, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The family moved to Compton, Ca. in April of 1970, where he e was joyfully received by his California family. Mike received his public school education in the Compton and Lynwood school districts. At an early age, Mike received Jesus into his heart and was water baptized by Pastor G.W. Robinson (deceased) at Century Christian Center, Lynwood, California. After graduating from Lynwood High School in Lynwood, Ca, Mike completed one semester of college at Long Beach City College. While having a desire to learn labor, Mike landed a job with Browning Oldsmobile, which led to a position with Harbor Chevrolet in Long Beach, Ca. as a parts counterperson. After being there for 15 years, Mike moved on to several other career choices. For the last four years of his life, he found work with Moss Bros. automobile dealership. Mike has made many friends, warmed the hearts and touched many lives with his sweet spirit, gentle yet comical nature and the sharing of his faith. Mike was a loyal member of Crossroads Christian Church in Corona, Ca. where he served as a greeter and usher. He loved his church and his pastor, Chuck Booher. On August 8, 2015, God called him home to rest. Preceding him in death were his maternal grandparents, Johnny and Louisa Hill and his paternal grandparents, Arthur Ellis Sr. and Willie Belle Ellis (Mimi). He leaves behind to cherish his memories, his mother, Desiree Turner, stepfather, Al Turner, father Arthur Ellis Jr., sister, Sandra Wilson of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, daughter, Alyssa Ellis of Long Island, New York, uncle, Glynis Miguel Harrow, special nephew, Tremayne Turner, best friend and roommate, Scott Finlayson of Anaheim, Ca. along with a host of family and friends.
