Gloria Jean Payne

Gloria Jean, was born December 27th, 1946 in McGees Rock, PA to Frank Concetta Fittante and had a sister Anita and her brother Jim. Around the age of 12 her family moved from Pennsylvania to Las Vegas, Nevada. It was there, she met her future husband, Bill. When her parents moved the family to California, Bill followed and soon they married on November 30th, 1963. Soon they started their family - their daughter, Christy born in 1965, followed by their son, Bill born in 1968. She enjoyed spending quality time with family and friends camping, fishing, skiing, tennis, horseback riding and even competed in equestrian events. She always commented her happiest times were spent living in Walnut for many years on Oakleaf Cyn Rd. She enjoyed the open space, horses, the surrounding pastures, along with the many animals and livestock they had including dogs, sheep, cows, horses, and geese. In the early 80s The family moved to Diamond Bar For most her married life, she worked side-by-side in the business her and Bill owned. She also was a Realtor in the 80s and owned a small Gift basket company with her daughter Christy in the early 90s. . When she turned 40 a debilitating disease called Multiple System Atrophy started and her life quickly changed. The last 30 years proved to be a struggle. However she was surrounded by friends and loved ones along the way. Although the disease affected her physically it could not touch her amazing spirit and beautiful smile. During this struggle she was blessed with 6 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson. On November 1, 2017 at 9:05 am God took her home at the age of 70, where she has been wanting to go for years. We know she is walking, running and carrying on numerous conversations with those who passed before her. Gloria Jean is survived by her daughter, Christy husband, Robert, her son, Bill wife Alison, 6 Grandchildren-Sean, Brendon, Christopher, Macayla, Ashley, and William, along with 1 great-grandson, Easton, Brother Jim and step-sister Sue. A memorial service will be conducted as follows: Friday, November, 17th, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Crossroads Christian Church, 2331 Kellogg Ave, Corona CA 92881.
