Golda “Ruth” Sponseller

Golda "Ruth" Hoggan Sponseller, 93, of Norco, California She passed away, at her home while surrounded by family, on Saturday, 28 December 2019. Ruth was born in Hollywood, California on 13 December 1926 to her parents, Lynn and Golda (Dansie) Hoggan and was the oldest of two children. She married Gail Wendal Sponseller on 15 August 1945 in Glendale, California. Ruth enjoyed gardening, arts, and crafts, writing poetry, Oil Painting, creative writing, sewing and helping others. She loved everyone and everyone loved her. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in her Ward and Stake Relief Society, Young Women, and Primary organizations. She is survived by her brother, Walter (Barbara) Hoggan of South Carolina, 5 children, Karen (Ron) Snow of Norco California, Linda (Steve) Waite of Star Idaho, Greg (Ruthie) Sponseller of Menifee California, Jim Sponseller of Jurupa Valley California and Pam (Rod) Davis of San Antonia Texas, 1 stepson, Louis (Maxine) Sponseller of Portland Oregon, 30 Grandchildren, 71 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandson. She is preceded in death by her husband, Gail, parents, Lynn & Golda Hoggan, Daughter-in-law, Melody Sponseller, and Granddaughter Stacy Sponseller. Funeral services will be held at the LDS Chapel at 3600 Norconian Dr., Norco on Saturday, January 4, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. with a family viewing from 9:30 - 10:00.
