Gregory Anthony Meza was an honorable man, born on June 21st, 1969, in California, and passed on March 17th, 2022, in Arizona. Greg was the son of Raul Meza and Irene Camarena. Growing up, Greg was determined and ambitious. He knew after high school he wanted to join the armed forces. In the year of 1988, he joined the Army and, shortly after, met his wife Catherine and son Gregory at Fort Ord, California. A few years later, Greg and his wife welcomed their daughter Elizabeth into the world. He was a loving husband and new father to two beautiful children. Greg made the fearless decision to become America's best 1st Special Forces Airborne Green Beret. He served in the Army for 27 years and retired as an MSG It was taking him and his family all over the world. From Germany, countless states in America, Japan, and Thailand. After the military Greg continued to dedicate himself to America by becoming a U.S government contractor. He was a beloved teacher, mentor, and friend. Everyone looked up and respected him. He was a true warrior in every respect. He loved the thrill of pushing himself to his limits and his own optimal potential by competing in triathlons, rock climbing, Jiu Jitsu, and scuba diving all over the globe. On his down time Greg loved going to the water with his best friend Shadow and giving him rides on his jet skies'. He kept busy with his two beautiful grandchildren Kai and Johanna. He was so proud watching them academically and physically excelling. It made him immensely happy to watch his grandchildren at Jiu Jitsu practice and hearing any victory that came their way.
