Guillermo Melgoza was born May 31st, 1961 in Acuitzeramo, Michoacn, Mexico. At the age of three his parents brought him to the United States of America to live in Corona, California. He is the son of Rodolfo and Consuelo Melgoza. He has three brothers and one sister: Miguel Melgoza, Rodolfo Melgoza Jr, Rosa Melgoza and Tony Melgoza. For the majority of his life he lived in Corona, California. Guillermo graduated from Corona High School in 1980. For several years he played as the drummer in a band with his brothers and friends named "Los Suseptibles". As the years went on the name of the band was changed to "Alma Musical". He had a huge passion for music. His favorite band was "Los Bukis". Some of his favorite hobbies were playing basketball and Monopoly with his brothers and friends. After he graduated from high school he started working at a nursery in Riverside. After working at the nursery for many years, he obtained his commercial driver's license and started working as a truck driver hauling oranges, lemons, and grapefruit for a local packing house. Truck driving was his passion and he absolutely loved doing it. Just before his 23rd birthday, he married Juana Caballero. They have been married for 37 years. They have two sons: Alejandro Melgoza who is 31 years old and Fernando Melgoza who is 18 years old. One of the things he loved to do with his free time was spend time with his parents, brothers, sisters, nephews and nieces. In his later years he loved to go out on Sundays with his family for breakfast or lunch and come home to rest and watch sports on TV. His favorite sports were basketball and football. His favorite teams were the LA Lakers (pre Lebron era), the LA Angels, and the Miami Dolphins. His whole life he was a good son, brother, husband, and a father. He was also a hard worker and very responsible. He would always say to his family, "Truck driving was never considered work for me because it's what I love to do, seeing my family happy was all I needed to be happy, so working as a truck driver made me and my family happy." He will always be remembered and loved, God bless him, and may he rest in peace.
