Irene Cochran

Irene Cochran passed away peacefully on July 26, 2022, due to complications from pneumonia. She was surrounded by her family. She was 73 years old. Irene was born on November 11, 1948. She was the second daughter of Arturo and Rebecca Soria. After graduating from Jordan High School, Class of 1966, Irene worked as a bank teller. During this time, she met Walter Cochran, and they were married in 1971, until her passing. In 1977, Irene and Wally moved to Corona where they currently resided. Irene and Wally raised two sons, Jason, and Jacob. Throughout her life she worked as a Clerk Typist at Victress Bower School, and as an Administrative Assistant at the University of California, Riverside. Two of Irenes main bucket list conquests were to graduate college and to skydive. In 1995 she was able to accomplish her first conquest, graduating from college. Despite taking almost 20 years off from school, Irene was able to graduate with a degree in Accounting from Cal State San Bernardino. Then in 1996, for her 50th birthday, Irene skydived for the first time. Irene was always up for something new, until her health limited her later in life. Irene also enjoyed traveling, reading, and spoiling her grandson. Irene is survived by her husband Wally, her sons Jason and Jacob, grandson Matthew, sisters Alice and Esther, and brother Paul.
