Irene Delgadillo, who passed away on December 31, 2023, resided in Corona, Ca. She was married in 1988 to Ramon Delgadillo which than they went on to have two daughters, Leslie & Cindy Delgadillo. Irene stayed extremely busy with her daughters’ extracurricular activities, which included cheer and dance. She lived and will always live thru her girls. Irene and Ramon enjoyed their days of travels when their girls left the nest to continue with their lives. Irene lived for her six grandkids, Natalia, Jose, Jerardo, Jasmine, Abraham, & Leilani Carrera. There was never a time where she was too tired to facetime her grandkids and spend hours on the phone with them even despite being in pain or having a mild headache. She loved and will continue to love them. Irene would even wake up at 8am to be on facetime/phone call with her daughter, Leslie, all morning to just cook breakfast and watch her granddaughter Leilani up until it was naptime. There was a special moment where Irene was on facetime with her daughter Cindy, its was for a major life changing experience for them both. It was when Cindy had an appointment to turn on her processors from her cochlear implant. It was when Irene was able to have her daughter hear her voice for the first time. That is a memory that will forever live in her daughters heart.
Irene had a passion for decorating and her garden. If you know Irene and have visited her home, you will understand. She enjoyed going outside and watering her flower’s. Her home was her sanctuary. Irene was a warrior, no matter what life threw her way, she held her head high despite it all. She lived her life to the fullest and with no regrets and no remorse for who she lost along the way because her husband, daughters and grandkids were what pushed her to keep living, gave her that light and energy on her worst days. Irene was and is the most amazing, kind, generous soul you could have ever met, there will never be another like her.
Irene will always be remembered by her fighting spirit just like the little engine that could, never surrendering. We will always imagine her say “Mis Pitufos” in every conversation she had with those she knew. We could not have asked for a better grandmother, wife, and mom, and will miss Irene every day. Her memory will live in the hearts of those who loved her.
