Isabel Vallejo Del Villar

Isabel Vallejo del Villar, 94 years of age, passed away peacefully the morning of Friday, May 19th 2023 in the Corona Regional Medical Hospital, California. She was surrounded by the love of her grandchildren when she decided to leave. Isabel now joins all those who passed before; her mother Carmen, her only son Rubn, and her daughter-in-law Lucero. Also waiting for Isabel are her nephew Gonzalo, her sister Consuelo, and her brother-in-law Gonzalo. Let their reunion be in the greatest joy. Isabel was born in the State of Mexico, just outside the capital city, on November 2nd, 1928. She was baptized in secret during the time of the Cristero War, a time of political chaos and a religious revolutionary movement against government suppression. Isabel went on to live most of her life in Mexico City, until moving to California in 1993 with her only son and his family. Isabel was cared for and is survived by her grandsons Fernando, Emmanuel, Rubn, and Gerardo, and her only granddaughter Isabel, named after her. Also left behind, her new puppy Lola-Percy. They all love Isabel dearly. In her youth Isabel loved to travel within Mexico and all over Europe alongside her mom and her son. Isabel loved family and community gatherings and spending time with her nieces and only nephew. Isabel loved making friends and enjoying conversations. Isabel loved animals and kept many pets throughout her life, among them Mueca, her white cat with a bow, Percy the smart black poodle mix, and Percys son Pierre, the strong one. Isabel loved to watch movies and shows and to comment on them as she watched. Isabel lived a long life with many hardships. Yet she was also able to find joy despite the pain. She persevered against the vagaries of life to care for her family, and to become a business owner for a couple of decades in Mexico City before moving to California. After that she dedicated her life to caring for her grandchildren and family. Isabel fought against all obstacles and adversities with a quite inner strength. Especially in her last few years, with the death of her daughter-in-law, her son, her sister and her nephew, the weight of the grief and misfortunes did not bring her down. Her last five years of declining health, losing mobility, kidney and diabetes complications, enduring dialysis and much worse, even if Isabel complained about physical pain she never complained about living and always kept fighting with a personal pride. Fernando, Emmanuel, Isabel, Gerardo, and Rubn loved their grandma and are more grateful than she could ever know for all she did for them in life. They will miss her more than Isabel will ever know. Se encontraba rodeada del amor de sus nietos cuando decidi irse. Isabel ahora se une a todos los que se fueron antes; su madre Carmen, su &uacutenico hijo Rubn y su nuera Lucero. Tambin esperan a Isabel su sobrino Gonzalo, su hermana Consuelo y su cuado Gonzalo. Que su reunin sea en la mayor alegra. Isabel naci en el Estado de Mxico, en las afueras de la ciudad capital, el 2 de Noviembre de 1928. Fue bautizada en secreto durante la poca de la Guerra Cristera, una poca de caos poltico y un movimiento revolucionario religioso contra la supresin del gobierno. Isabel pas la mayor parte de su vida en la Ciudad de Mxico, hasta que se mud a California en 1993 con su &uacutenico hijo y su familia. Isabel fue cuidada y le sobreviven sus nietos Fernando, Emmanuel, Rubn y Gerardo, y su &uacutenica nieta Isabel, que lleva su nombre. Tambin dej atrs a su nueva cachorra Lola-Percy. Todos amaban mucho a Isabel. En su juventud a Isabel le encantaba viajar dentro de Mxico y por toda Europa junto a su mam y su hijo. Isabel amaba las reuniones familiares y comunitarias y pasar tiempo con sus sobrinas y su &uacutenico sobrino. A Isabel le encantaba hacer amigos y disfrutar de las conversaciones. Isabel amaba a los animales y tuvo muchas mascotas a lo largo de su vida, entre ellas Mueca, su gato blanco con un moito, Percy, la inteligente mezcla de poodle, y el hijo de Percy, Pierre, el fuerte. A Isabel le encantaba ver pelculas y programas y comentar sobre ellos mientras los miraba. Isabel vivi una larga vida con muchas penurias. Sin embargo, tambin pudo encontrar alegra a pesar del dolor. Ella persever contra los caprichos de la vida para cuidar a su familia y convertirse en propietaria de un negocio durante un par de dcadas en la Ciudad de Mxico antes de mudarse a California. Despus de eso, dedic su vida al cuidado de sus nietos y su familia. Isabel luch contra todos los obstculos y adversidades con bastante fuerza interior. Sobre todo en sus &uacuteltimos aos, con la muerte de su nuera, su hijo, su hermana y su sobrino, el peso de las penas y las desgracias no la derribaron. Sus &uacuteltimos cinco aos de salud deteriorada, prdida de movilidad, complicaciones renales y diabticas, soportando dilisis y mucho peor, aunque Isabel se quejaba del dolor fsico nunca se quej de vivir y siempre sigui luchando con un orgullo personal. Fernando, Emmanuel, Isabel, Gerardo y Rubn amaban a su abuela y estn ms agradecidos de lo que ella podra saber por todo lo que hizo por ellos en la vida. La extraarn ms de lo que Isabel jams sabr. Ellos quieren continuar con la fuerza de Isabel, su resistencia, y su orgullo de perseverar.
