Jack Edward Moore of Corona, California, passed away at his home in Trilogy at Glen Ivy on June 11, 2021. He was born May 12, 1941 in Wichita, Kansas, son of John Edward Moore and Bertha Eleanor Atchison Moore. Jack graduated from Wichita East High School and Kansas State University with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He was a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. Jack married Katherine Popkess on June 19, 1965 in Prairie Village, Kansas. Jack and his wife, Kathy, moved to Los Angeles, California in 1966 to make a permanent home. He worked as a programmer for the Bendix Corporation, then moving on to Magnavox Electronics where he worked as a program manager for 20 years. He then was hired as the general manager of NavCom Technology, which became a significant player in the GPS marketplace. NavCom began a significant relationship with Deere & Company, supporting more efficient and productive agriculture. The relationship was so successful that Deere purchased NavCom in 1999. Jack retired from NavCom in June, 2006 During his life he had many interests including tennis, golf, fishing, traveling, sailing and in his retirement years he enjoyed astronomy, ancestry and projects which involved building and programming drones. Jack is survived by his wife of 56 years, Kathy; his mother , Bertha, his brother, Jim, three sons, John, David and Gregory; and 4 grandchildren, Tyler, Brooke, Kalissa & Alec. Jack was a wonderful son, brother, husband, father and grandfather who was loved so much by his family. May he rest in peace.
