Jacob Dacota Holmes

Jacob Dakota Holmes, 26, of Riverside California, passed away on July 11 in Westminster California. Jacob was born in Riverside to Glen and Susan Holmes on May 12, 1992. He went to LaSierra High School and graduated in 2011. He currently worked for Cal-Aurum Industries as a Quality Assurance Specialist. He enjoyed basketball, hiking, working out, scary movies and eating a good hamburger. He loved music and going to concerts. A highlight of his was playing the drums in a band with his friends. His true love was spending time with his family, and friends he considered family. He was involved with Narcotics Anonymous and was often asked to speak and share his story at different functions. He worked the 12 step program and it gave him strength. He loved people and saw them with his heart. He loved his Savior Jesus Christ and his Father in Heaven. Jacob is survived by his parents, Glen Holmes of Riverside, CA, and Susan Holmes of Claysville, PA. His brothers Jonathon Holmes, and wife Peteri of Tooele, Utah, and Daniel Holmes of Cave Junction, Oregon. His sisters Rebecca (Becki) Mitchell and husband Byron of Murrieta, CA, and Erma Holmes of Victorville, CA. Nieces and nephews Moana, Susan, James, Luke, Lilee, Tessa, Ivo, Ian, Leeam, Olive, and Noah. His Grandfather John Holmes and Grandmother Patricia Donald Cryder. He was preceded in death by his Grandfather Ivo Donald, Grandmother Hazel Holmes, and Uncle Russell Holmes. The Memorial service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Saturday, July 21st at 10:00 am. The address is: 11150 Collett Ave, Riverside CA 92505 The family would like to extend their gratitude to The Landing of Newport Beach, The Sea Cliff Recovery Center, and all those who kept Jacob in their prayers and good wishes. The kindness and love you humbly shared with others is your legacy. We anxiously await hearing your infectious laugh again.
