Jane Larson passed away, after a brief illness, at her daughter's home at the age of 90. She was surrounded by loving family. Jane was born in Los Angeles, California to Arthur and Margaret (Jimmie) Weirick. She lived there until the age of 15, when her family moved to Corona, California. Her father was a citrus grower and realtor. Jane attended Corona Senior High School and graduated in 1945. She attended UC Berkeley for three years and was a member of Sigma Kappa sorority. Jane, a single mother with three daughters, returned to Corona in 1962. She worked as an administrative assistant at both Corona Community Hospital and Corona-Norco Unified School District. Later, she was the Secretary to the Assistant Superintendent and Secretary to the Board of Education of CNUSD. She retired in 1989. Jane was very active in her community. She attended St. John's Episcopal Church, where she served on the Altar Guild, sang in the choir, and was a member of Daughters of the King. She volunteered at Corona Regional Medical Center and the Corona Public Library. Jane was an avid bridge player and played with various bridge groups in Corona almost every day. She also enjoyed playing Bingo with her friends at Valencia Terrace Senior Community, where she lived. She loved being with her many friends.
