Jeanette Marie Bollen

November 12, 1944 — November 4, 2020

Jeanette Marie Wienke Bollen (75), late of Anaheim CA, a native of Kenosha WI, Daughter of the American Revolution, and certified Citizen of the Cherokee Nation, was lost to this world on 4 Nov 2020. She was oldest of 8 children who survived childbirth, and was preceded in death by her parents Larry and Faunelle Wienke, and sister Eleanor. She is survived by her husband Travis, her three sons, and her brothers Charles, Samuel, Marvin, Paul, Vernon, and Earl Wienke. Jeanette was the proud mother of Todd, David, and Scott Kiefer. Her first marriage of 14 years to Dennis Kiefer ended in divorce, but she was blessed with 40 years of extraordinary love and companionship in her second marriage to Travis Bollen. The couple served as lay ministers in Single Parents Fellowship at First Evangelical Free Church of Fullerton and Yorba Linda Friends Church for 25 years until Jeanette was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2004. In recent years Jeanette and Travis founded Acts of Kindness, a hunger relief ministry to the homeless in La Palma Park. Jeanette was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ, a mighty prayer warrior, and gifted encourager. She played harmonica and accordion with the same joyful energy with which she fought back cancer for 16 years and blindness her whole life. We share in her joy at being free from this world of pain and embraced by her creator. Those who desire to attend the memorial service at 2 pm on 24 Nov at Fullerton Free Church, 2801 N Brea Blvd, will need to call the church to pre-register due to COVID restrictions. Family will attend a burial service the following morning at Riverside National Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, friends may contribute to a modest gofundme.com campaign to assist Travis with residual medical debt and ongoing living expenses.
