Jeffrey Allen Mcmillin

November 29, 1960 — August 9, 2020

Jeffrey was born in Butler Pennsylvania, to John and Rowena McMillin, where he led a childhood without borders, exploring meadows and creeks with innocent abandon. At 8 years old, his family moved to southern California and Jeff quickly began reaching for success. Before he was in jr. high, he had his own paper route, he was always involved in boy-scouts, and in high school, he made money repairing and reselling motorcycles, as well as helping his uncle repair tour buses in Pennsylvania each summer. After graduating high school, Jeff began working in construction, and playing bass in a band, called Sedation. At age 23, he met Amy, while her band, Crystal, was playing at backyard wedding reception, and after sharing a single dance with her, Jeff was completely smitten. A year and a half later, in February of 1985, they were married, and went on to share 35 wonderful years and 5 children together: Matthew, Hannah, Adam, Noah, and Esther. He had his own construction company, he built his family a home, he worked hard his whole life, and he was deeply loved by his wife, children, daughter-in-law, Micayla, and granddaughter, Wynree Mae, among countless others. Even though his number one hobby was work, he did enjoy fishing, model trains, collecting coins, studying the bible, and leading worship. He and Amy enjoyed live music and dancing, gardening together, and working on puzzles, as well as dates to Home Depot and Costco. With his children, he enjoyed impromptu jam sessions on the porch, long conversations, watching movies together, relentless teasing, and offering endless encouragement. In addition to his wife, children, and grandchild, he leaves behind his parents, his sisters, Jaye and Cara, and his brother, Mike. Though he will be desperately missed, he will remain in our hearts and minds forever until we meet again.
