Jerry Woods of Corona, CA was born to Herbert and Jessie Woods in 1942. He was a proud member of the Choctaw and Chickasaw tribes. Jerry died on August 17, 2024 surrounded by family and friends at the age of 81.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Christine Woods, daughters Tammy (Jeff) Soper and Katrina Woods, step-children Adam (Dayna) Helterbran and Stacy (Steve) Maderious, his grandchildren Alicia Soper, Cody (Rebekah) Soper, Kaitlyn Armstrong, Kassel Armstrong, Eliana Helterbran, and Ethan Maderious, his brothers Terry (Marilyn) Woods and Gary (Patty) Woods and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Louise, his parents (Herbert and Jessie Woods) and sisters LaDonna Loera, Ginger Long, and twin sister Sherry Freedle.
Jerry moved to California as a small child and grew up in Pomona. He was a sign maker most of his working life and the last few working years he was a fabricator who helped build an ice house. Jerry enjoyed restoring antique cars and taking them to car shows. He enjoyed traveling to Kauai, Washington, and Canada. He also enjoyed gardening and some favorite plants were plumeria, ponytail palms, and his desert rose.
