Jesse W. Farley

Jessie W. Farley was born January 19, 1945 in Phenix City, Alabama to parents Eddie Harvey Farley and Lonnie Sirlene Frazier-Farley. He later changed the spelling of his name to Jesse to represent a more masculine name. Dr. Farley resided in California since 1974. He married Ira Jean Cantu on April 23, 1975 in Santa Ana, CA. God blessed them with 46 years of marriage (1975-2021). Together they have five wonderful children. He loved the Lord with all his heart and soul. He accepted Christ at an early age. He attended and graduated from Mother Mary Mission High School. After graduating he went into the Air Force and remained in the service for 24 years. He received the Air Force Commendation Medal and numerous other awards during his 24-year career ln the Air Force. He attended Columbia College where he earned a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis on money and banking. He received his Master of Divinity Degree from Golden Gate Theological Seminary, in Brea, CA, which is known now as Gateway Seminary, Ontario, CA. He earned his Doctor of Theology Degree from Andersonville Theological Seminary, Camilla, GA, in January 2009. He also earned a PhD of Philosophy Degree in Biblical Studies from Next Dimension University, Rancho Cucamonga, CA in August of 2013. He was very much pro education. Once he retired from the Air Force he began employment with the United States Postal Service. He started as a clerk and was promoted to supervisor in record time. Dr. Farley enjoyed watching westerns on TV, such as Gun Smoke, John Wayne movies, The Virginian, Wagon Train, etc. Watching the Lakers Basketball games was also a favorite thing for him to do. He loved God, his family, enjoyed teaching and encouraging people to be the best they could be. He was called to glory on December 14, 2021. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him. Preceding him in death; Parents (Eddie and Lonnie Farley) Son (Isaac Cantu, Jr.) Brothers (Raymond Frazier and Eddie James Farley) and Daughter Zenna Farley-Williams (Gary), He leaves to cherish his memory: Wife Dr Jean Farley, Children (Petra Cantu, Angela Cantu, and Erika Farley-Jowers (Allen). Sister: Elizabeth Meyers (Ronald). Grandchildren: Myke Cantu, Camesha Patton, Jalice Patton, and Ezekiel Cantu. Ashanti Cantu. Great Grand Daughter: Amris Rose Cantu. Numerous Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends.
