John F. Baker

John was born in England in the county of Kent on August 23, 1931. In England John worked for many years for British Petroleum, and served two years in the Royal Engineers. He married Maureen (Gardner) in 1952. In 1965 John and his family emigrated to California and settled in Corona where the fragrance of orange blossom was irresistible. He was Vice President of engineering for American Medical, and later a senior engineer for University Extension, University of California Riverside. John died on August 5, 2018, in the city of Corona. He enjoyed travelling, especially his many trips home to England, and big family gatherings. John is survived by Maureen, his beloved wife for 66 years. Sons, Nicholas (Freddie) and David (Laurie). Grandchildren, Kira, Jett and Jade, and many dear relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his daughter Julie.
