John M Rodriguez

Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great-Grandfather, passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Nov. 21,2013 in Corona, CA from renal failure. He is now in Heaven with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. John was born in Talpa Jalisco, Mexico on Aug. 21, 1922 to Juan Manuel Rodriguez and Manuela Rodriguez. John immigrated to the United States, settling in Brawley, CA. John enlisted in the U.S. Army during World War II. He fought in the Bougainville Campaign in the South Pacific and was awarded the Bronze Star, Asiatic Pacific Theater medal and Good Conduct Medal. John moved his family to Corona, CA and worked as a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service. He also had a janitorial service and in between both jobs, he was taking night classes at Chaffey College for his Real Estate License. He eventually obtained his liscense and his brokers license and opened up his own Real Estate Office. John loved to watch boxing and the LA Dodgers. John was preceded in death by his parents “Papa Juan and Mamela”, his daughters Barbara and Margie, his grandson Daniel and his brothers Henry and Gilbert. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Julia, daughters, Marie (Paul) Avalos, Sue (Joseph) Monteon, Sandra Lewis, Patty (Marty) Searcy and CeCe (Jim) Felgar; brothers, Mike, Carlos, Raymond Willie and sisters, Dolores Corrales, Ester Ortiz, Mary Haven, Toni Escalera; 11 Grandchildren and 12 Great-Granchildren. Viewing will be at St. Edward Catholic Church in Corona, from 10:00- 11:00 AM on tuesday, Nov. 26, 2013; Rosary will begin at 11:00 AM. Mass Service will be at St. Edward Catholic Church on Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2013 at 11:30 AM burial will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park. “Our family chain is broken and nothing seems the same, but God calls us one by one and the chain will link again.” Visitation St. Edward Catholic Church 417 W.
