Joleita Clynett Schuenke was the youngest of three daughters born to the late Ena and Joseph Reed on October 25, 1969 in Buffalo, NY. Ena and Joseph provided a warm and nurturing environment to raise Joleita and her sisters in. They emphasized strong belief in God and living a generous, honest, moral life founded on the Biblical principles of love and justice. In 1976 the family moved to Brooklyn, New York where Joleita continued and completed her elementary education at Flatbush SDA School. Later she attended Northeastern Academy where she earned her High School diploma in 1983. Joleita subsequently attended Oakwood University for one year before transferring to Andrews University, where she obtained her BS degree in Computer Science. Joleitas work history included teaching at the Hanson Place Elementary School before accepting a position as an Information Systems Analyst for EDS (Electronic Data Systems) at the World Trade Center in New York City, NY. On a given Saturday in the summer of 1999, while riding on the New York subway, Joleita caught the eye of her knight in shining armor. After exchanging smiles and telephone numbers, a storybook romance ensued. After one week of dating. Christoph proposed marriage. They were married just a few months later, and moved to Chris home in Berlin, Germany where they lived for 7 years before moving to New York City. Prior to their move to California, they resided in Huntsville, AL for 4 years. Christoph and Joleita were blessed with two beautiful children, Samuel and Sarah. Joleita was affectionately known as Jo. Everyone that knew Joleita felt her unconditional love and sweet presence. She was truly a model of hospitality and care to all those who crossed her path. She was the modern day Dorcas, and had no reservations giving you her last. Joleita took life in stride. She was always concerned about the welfare of others. During her brief illness, Jo very rarely complained, and always had a listening ear. Wherever Jo went, she attracted a line of friends. After a brief illness, Joleita passed away suddenly on November 16, 2013 with her husband Chris by her side. Joleita was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Ena Reed. To mourn her passing are her husband, Christoph; children, Samuel and Sarah; sisters, Eslyn and Iris; mother-in-law, Christa Schuenke; nieces, Aleta and Ashante; brother-in-law, Raynard Allen; sister-in-law, Theresa Bennert. Along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. May she rest in peace.
