Jonathan McConnell, aged 38, passed away on July 27, 2024. Born on February 11, 1986, Jonathan grew to embody a spirit of warmth and vigor, cherished deeply by all who knew him. He lived life to the extreme, a testament to his passionate, stubborn, and incredibly smart nature.
Jonathan leaves behind a profound legacy as a loving father to his four children: Rylee and Kendall, whose mother is Brandy Kelhi, and Matthias and Donovan, whose mother is Christina Dominguez, Jonathan's significant other for the last ten years. He also leaves his enduring love and cherished memories with his parents, siblings, and extended family, who will deeply miss his presence.
Known for his adventurous spirit, Jonathan had a passion for the outdoors, with motorcycling and snowboarding being among his favorite pursuits. He found true happiness in the thrill of a ride and the serenity of the mountains, yet nothing could compare to the time spent with his family. Jonathan’s zest for life and his infectious laugh drew people to him, often making him the heart of family gatherings.
Jonathan’s life was a beautiful tapestry of devotion to his loved ones, passion for his interests, and an unwavering kindness that touched the lives of many. As we mourn his departure from this world, we also celebrate all that he was—a remarkable individual whose memory will continue to inspire and influence everyone he knew.
Services to honor Jonathan’s life will be held on August 9, 2024, at Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Corona. The service will begin with a Rosary at 11:00 AM followed by Mass at 11:30 AM. A graveside service will follow at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in Orange at 1:30 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to City of God, St. Joseph Hill of Hope, Brea, CA, in memory of Jonathan's generous spirit and lifelong desire to make a difference.
Jonathan will be profoundly missed, but his spirit will live on through his children, his family, and the many lives he touched. Rest in peace, Jonathan; your journey continues on paths we hope to tread upon someday.
