Jordan Taylor Poore passed away on May 18, 2026, at the age of 43.
Born on June 29, 1982, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, Jordan spent part of his early childhood in Idaho and Utah before moving to California with his family in 1986. He grew up in Corona, where he built deep friendships and lasting connections, and a life centered on family and community. Known to many as JT, to some as JP, Jordan became known for his contagious laugh, quick sense of humor, and natural ability to make people feel welcome and important. Whether through a story, a joke, or simply his presence, people were drawn to him. He had an effortless charm and a way of turning ordinary moments into memorable ones.
Above everything else, Jordan loved being a father to his daughters, Presley and Audrey. Spending time with his girls brought him genuine happiness and pride, and they remained at the center of his heart throughout his life.
Jordan worked in the banking industry for more than twenty years with Citizens Business Bank, where he served in multiple roles, including as a teller at the Corona branch and later in Fraud Prevention at the Ontario headquarters. He built many lasting friendships throughout his career and was well known for bringing humor and personality wherever he went.
He loved the outdoors and enjoyed snowboarding, golfing, camping, hiking, and simply being outside, soaking up the sunshine. In his younger years, he was active in Boy Scouts and played youth baseball for many years. He was a loyal fan of the Los Angeles Angels and the Los Angeles Kings and could always be counted on to talk sports with friends and family. He also loved music, especially 311, backyard BBQs on sunny afternoons, and spending time surrounded by the people he cared about.
Animals held a special place in Jordan’s heart throughout his life. One of his earliest jobs was at PetSmart, and his cats became loyal companions over the years, especially Lincoln, who passed away a couple of years ago, and Willow, who remained by his side.
Jordan graduated from Corona High School in 2000, where he built many lifelong friendships and became known for his outgoing personality, sense of humor, and natural charisma. He had a large circle of friends, many of whom he’s still close to, and was someone people naturally gravitated toward.
Jordan had a strong faith in Jesus Christ and was baptized into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. While life led him down many paths, his faith in God and the Plan of Salvation remained close to him. It was not uncommon to find a photo of Jesus, the Book of Mormon, or the Bible resting on the tables throughout his home, quiet reminders of beliefs that continued to matter deeply to him.
Jordan is survived by his daughters, Audrey Poore and Presley Poore; father, Michael Poore; mother, Janiece Orton; stepmother, Brenda Poore; spouse, Erin Poore; brothers, Jacob Poore and Andrew Poore; sisters, Jessica Sayre and Lauren Poore; step brothers, Garrett Finamore and Rudolph Finamore III; step sister, Camryn Rohaly; and countless close friends who became his extended family over the course of his life.
A public viewing will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (1123 S Lincoln Ave, Corona, CA 92882). Funeral services will be held the same day from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. A procession and private graveside service for family and invited guests will follow at Pierce Brothers Crestlawn Memorial Park (11500 Arlington Ave, Riverside, CA 92505) beginning at 12:30 p.m.
Those who knew Jordan will remember his laughter, his stories, his humor, and the way he made people feel seen and valued. He loved deeply, lived socially, and brought warmth and personality into every room he entered. He leaves behind stories, laughter, and people who will carry him with them always.
