Jorge F. Pavez

Jorge Francisco Pavez was born in Santiago, Chile on January 12,1940, the first of 13 children. He came to America in 1963 with no money, job or knowledge of English. But he had goals. And with nothing but guts, smarts and unwavering confidence, he reached every goal he set. His biggest dream came true when he proposed to Joyce Accurso 43 years ago, a relationship that began when he brazenly asked her out while he was valet parking her car. Jorge began selling insurance in 1966 and he and Joyce made Corona their home in 1972. Together they created a very successful insurance agency that Jorge ran until he died at age 74 on March 8th at their mountain home in Lake Arrowhead. Jorge will always be remembered for his passion for life, his infectious smile, his generous spirit and his love for this country. He leaves behind his wife Joyce, his three children Chris, Kana, and Joy; their spouses, Kelly, Dave and Brendan and his seven grandchildren: Dakota, Makenna, Colton, Michael, Joyabella, Maya Kate, and Mason.
