Joyce Elaine Willemsen

Joyce E. Willemsen, 60, of Rancho Cucamonga, CA, formerly of Sioux City, IA, passed away on April 27, 2016 after a long illness. Joyce was born February 6th, 1956 in Sioux City to John and Elaine Merchant. On June 5th, 1976 Joyce was united in marriage to Ronald Willemsen in Sioux City. They had three children: Hiedi, Jennifer and Michael. In 1989 they moved to California and made their home there. Joyce was a loving wife and mother who touched the lives of many. Joyce was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents John and Anna Merchant and her maternal grandparents Richard (Red) and Ruby Hollinger. She is survived by her husband Ron, her daughters Hiedi and Jennifer, her son Michael, his wife Aimee and the light of her life grandson Jacob. In addition, she is survived by her parents John and Elaine Merchant; sisters Julie Lanzourakis and Paula Steig. Services will be Thursday May 5th at 10am with visitation Wednesday May 4th from 5pm to 8pm.
