Julie M. Forrend

Julie M. Forrend March 5, 1934 - March 2, 2021 Julie left her earthy bonds with a shout of victory as she ran straight into the arms of Jesus her Savior on Tuesday, March 2. She was preceded by her loving husband Charles O. Forrend and quickly followed by her best friend of over 50 years, our amazing Aunt Bonnie Leonard, just nine days later. Julie is survived by her children and grandchildren. Daughter Kelly and husband Steve Phelps. Daughter Kimberly and husband Dustin Berry. Grandchildren David, Thomas, Dakota, and Savannah. And the son of her heart Daniel Lassen. While born and raised in Vermont, Julie moved as an adult to California where she reconnected and married her childhood sweetheart. She held many careers but the one she was most proud of, other than that of mother, was being a minister. Julie sang and preached throughout many states leading many to Jesus with her husband and continued to do so after he went home. Widowed for over 25 years, she looked forward to the grand adventure and reunion with her first love. But even more than this she longed to sit at Jesus feet and ask the many questions she often joked about asking. Julie was head strong, independent and a fierce friend with an unstoppable passion for Christ. She was loved and adored by the many who knew her. Her daughters placed a fitting verse on her headstone, Proverbs 31:28 Her children rise up and call her blessed. We cannot thank her enough for raising us to believers and while she is gone from our sight we know we will meet again. The circle remains unbroken, the bond is forever.
