June 24, 1932 — May 17, 2018

It is with great sadness that the family of June Arlo Martin, announce her passing on Thursday, May 17, 2018, at the age of 85. June is proceeded in death by her loving husband of 45 years, Joseph "Ernie" Martin and her beloved parents Raymond and Helen Heaton. June will be lovingly remembered by her children, son Mark (Colleen) Martin and daughter Tawny Martin. She will also be adoringly remembered by her six grandchildren, Ryan, Ashley, Brent, Dakota, Dawson and Daniel Martin, by her sister Joyce (Richard) Nuckles and her brothers, William (Jan) Heaton, and Robert (Beverly) Heaton. June also has numerous nieces and nephews, extended family and dear friends that will remember her fondly. June was born June 24, 1932, in Los Angeles, where she grew up with a loving family. In school, she played clarinet and loved to sing. June was in the Orchestra and played the clarinet in the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra, where she was then asked to be an extra in the movie "It Happened in Brooklyn". She graduated from Franklin High School in 1950, went onto Business College, graduated, and entered the workforce. She met the love of her life "Ernie" on a blind date, they were married on January 26, 1958, and were married for 45 years and together they raised their 2 children in the city of Hacienda Heights. While married she was a stay at home Mom. She enjoyed gardening, loved music, singing, dancing and raising her children. When they retired they enjoyed traveling in their motorhome all over the United States visiting family and friends. In recent years, she was an active member of her church, Shepherd of the Valley Presbyterian Church in Hacienda Heights, where she was a greeter and then a Deacon. Her Family was the most important thing to her and she loved spending time with them. She is now with her Lord Jesus Christ, she had a deep connection with the Lord and he has brought her home to be reunited in Heaven with her beloved ones that have gone before her. A Graveside Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, May 29th, 2018, 10:31 a.m., at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Boulevard, Riverside, CA 92518.
