Karen Ann Sheridan, 71, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on September 18, 2022. Karen is survived by her husband of 51 years, Donald Sheridan, her 3 kids, Kim, Kelly, and Sean, their spouses, Tim, Chris, and Christina and her 4 grandchildren, Grace, Tristan, Hailey and Parker. Karen was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA where she met and married Don. They were the most in love couple you will ever meet. They went on to have 3 children and create a loving home full of fun. As a family they loved to go camping, swim at the local pool, spend time with family, and play in the snow. In 1987 Karen and Don made the brave decision to move their family across the United States to California. In California they started a new chapter and thrived as a family. Over the years Karen worked in retail at JoAnn Fabrics and Clothworld. Karen loved to do crafts, sew, and crochet so those jobs suited her very well. Later Karen was offered a job at a new Walmart as the manager of the fabric and craft department. It was at Walmart where she met many lifelong friends. After retiring from Walmart Karen went to work for Dress Barn. She loved talking to people and helping them shop for just the right items. Karen was always up for anything. Her and Don loved to travel, especially in their trailer. They loved seeing new places and meeting new people. Karen loved being out and about. She loved going to shows, amusement parks, shopping, concerts and so much more. She also loved to relax at home and do diamond art. Her kids would say she was obsessed with the diamond art. She spent countless hours doing diamond art and watching the Hallmark Channel. Karen loved her kids unconditionally and was always there for them when they needed her. When she became a grandma the way she loved became even bigger. She was the best Grandma anyone had ever seen. She was always thinking about the grandkids. She was always up for hanging out with them, attending their sporting events and extracurricular activities, playing with them, and creating special moments with each of them. Karen was kind, loving, caring, generous, open minded, dependable, hard-working, friendly and a little bit wacky. She will be deeply missed by so many.
