Kay Godinez

We regretfully announce the passing of Wanda Kay Godinez, who went home to be with Jesus, on March 16th, 2024 (She is in Glory) Kay was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on October 5th, 1940. She grew up in Texas where she loved spending time with her sister and cousins. Kay moved to California and met her husband Sef Godinez and started her family in Huntington Beach. They eventually moved to Corona and built their dream home. Kay was predeceased by her husband Sef (passed in 2018) and her son Scott in 1985. She is survived by her daughter Tammy Steele, and her husband Mark. Her only granddaughter Jamie Kay Goveia, and her husband Ryan. Her great grandchildren Lincoln and Hayden. Kay adored her only granddaughter Jamie Kay (everyone knows she is the favorite). She relished and spoiled her great grandchildren. Kay truly enjoyed entertaining and had a special love for cooking, as some of you know. Kay had many close friends and family. Also received joy from her church family. She truly cherished them all. Kay loved to travel and spent a lot of that time in Hawaii (Kona family). She especially loved to play games, Bingo, Bunco, and Cards. Kay played Gin on a regular basis with her daughter, granddaughter, and friends. (she loved to win).

Kay was thoughtful, caring and very giving..

Kay loved to Love and to be loved.... A life well lived and missed by all.
