Khor Suan

May 5, 1931 — April 21, 2015

Mr. Khor Suan was born on May 5, 1931 to Theam and Khor Eam in Thmor Puak of Banteaymenchey Province, Cambodia. He was the youngest of nine; he had four brothers and four sisters. His family lifestyle revolved around farming. At the age of 19, Mr. Khor Suan became ordained and served as a novice in a Buddhist monastery for three years. during this time, temples were the only means to attain literacy. Mr. Khor Suan not only learned how to read and write, but he also learned about the literature and the teachings of Theravada Buddhism and the Enlightened One-the teacher-Siddhartha Guatama, as well as Pali and Sanskrit chanting In 1954, at the age of 23, Mr. Khor Suan got married to Peach Thip, who is from the same hometown. Following their marriage they had eight children, twenty-six grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. In 1992, Mr. Khor Suan arrived to The United States of America and resided in Perris, California. In 2008, Mr. Khor Suan relocated to Riverside, California and spent the remainder of his joyous life there. Service Location Not Available Saturday 4/25, 12:00 pm
