Kristi Ann Vasquez

Kristi Vasquez grew up in Corona, California, where she was raised by her loving parents, Alice, Irwin, and Beverly, alongside her brother Craig. Family was always at the heart of Kristi’s life. She later married Junior Vasquez, and together they built a beautiful family with their three children, Christopher, Alex, and Emmy.

Kristi dedicated 27 years of her life to a career with the California Department of Corrections, serving as both a Correctional Officer and later a Correctional Counselor. She began her career at the California Youth Authority and later continued her service at the men’s prison in Norco. Her work reflected her strength, commitment, and compassion for others, and she took great pride in the role she played throughout her years of service.

Outside of her career, Kristi had a deep love for the outdoors and spent many happy days camping and enjoying nature. Her dogs Tito, Lola, Harley, and Andy were her loyal companions, bringing even more joy and laughter into her home. She also loved gathering with friends and family for barbecues, where good food and laughter filled the air.

Those who knew Kristi will always remember her warmth, her love for the simple joys in life, and the way she made everyone feel welcome wherever she went.
