Lanetha Esther Henderson

Lanetha E. Henderson, age 61, passed away on March 26, 2017 at Parkview Community Hospital in Riverside, California where she had devoted three decades of her life as a Registered Nurse. Lanetha was born on January 3, 1956. After graduating early from high school and planning on becoming a mathematics professor, Lanetha developed her love and calling for nursing. Lanetha graduated from Mount San Antonio College in June 1977 with an Associates Degree in Applied Science and a major in Registered Nursing. During college, she worked as a paralegal working with low-income students, helping them find jobs. After graduation she worked as a staff nurse for West Covina Hospital until 1985. From 1985 to 1987, she spent her time raising her children and caring for her family. In 1987, Lanetha began her longstanding career with Parkview Community Hospital where she worked as a nursing supervisor in various departments including Postpartum and Day Surgery. Twenty years later, in 2007, Lanetha began to work as a clinical instructor for North West College where she spent her days guiding and teaching future nurses at Parkview Community Hospital. Above all, Lanetha enjoyed time with her family and caring for others. She loved cooking for her family, crocheting, and completing puzzles. Lanetha is survived by her children.
