Larry Way

November 5, 1949 — March 31, 2026

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Larry Gene Way, who departed this life on March 31st in Corona, CA. He was 76. Larry was a native of Corona, having graduated from Corona Sr. High in 1967. He went on to serve as a US Marine during the Vietnam War for which he was awarded a Purple Heart in 1969. Larry worked in the Silicon Valley for 38 years and ultimately retired from Northrop Grumman.

Larry was a man of clear priorities, most important were his family, his country, and his baseball. As a husband, father and grandfather he was our protector, always putting our needs and safety above his own. His service to our country as a US Marine was an extension of that protective spirit.

Larry is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Evelyn (Balderas) Way, his daughter Alicia Anagnostou and his grandchildren, Logan, Madison and Lena. He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Colleen Way, his brothers, George (Jr.), Jerry and Rob and his son, Adam Way.

Larry will be profoundly missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege to know him.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Wounded Warriors Project: support.woundedwarriorproject.org
