Libertad Bautista

Libertad "Nanay Betty" Bautista was born in Navotas, Rizal, Philippines and lived her last 25 years in Southern California. On January 5th, 2025 Nanay passed peacefully surrounded by her daughter Lilibeth and California-based grand and great grandchildren: Rhea, Russ, Frankie, and Olivia. Libertad was born on January 23, 1932. She was the 5th of 6th children of Florencia Andaya and Alejandro Dayapan. Libertad had many jobs, but her most important one was being a mother to 9 children!

Nanay was predeceased by her husband Raynato, her children Lito, Rodel, and Liberty. Nanay Betty is survived by her six daughters (Lilibeth, Gina, Lani, Sally, Rose, and Mayreen), 26 Grandchildren, 29 Great Grandchildren, and countless friends she had touched throughout her 92 years of life. Her joyful spirit and love for life, will be missed by all who knew her. 

 The family plans to take her ashes back home to the Philippines for the final internment alongside her husband and children.
