Lois Jean Duquette

With hearts heavy and filled with deep gratitude, we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, Lois Jean Duquette on October 5th, at the age of 97 in Corona, California.

Born on May 4th, 1929 in North Dakota to John Martin and Christina Marie Lothspeich, Mom lived a life defined by quiet grace, devotion to the Lord, and an open heart. She was the youngest of seven children and was the last surviving member of her family. Whether she was watching Angels baseball, Notre Dame football or Dancing with the Stars, she had a rare gift for making everyone around her feel welcomed and loved.

She raised four children: Richard Duquette of Corona, Ronald Duquette of Ontario, Diane Padilla of Reno and John Duquette of Villa Park. She was also a cherished grandmother of seven and great-grandmother of three. She’s a woman whose wisdom and warmth will echo in our lives forever. Though we miss her more than words can say, we take comfort in knowing her love remains in our memories and the foundation of everything we are.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years Richard O. Duquette who is laid to rest at the Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, California.

Her celebration of life will be held on Monday, October 26, 2026 at 10:00am at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church in Corona, California. The funeral will follow at the Riverside National Cemetery where she will be laid to rest with her Husband Richard.
